Born to Absolum and Elizabeth (Epperson) Redman in Adair County, Kentucky, Wesley Redman (1810-1886) married Susan Harris in 1831. Following the birth of their three children, Redman’s wife died in 1844. A farmer by profession, he moved to Warren County, where he married Nancy Elizabeth Morris, with whom he had five children. After moving to Cynthiana, Indiana, Redman enlisted in Company A of the 58th Indiana Regiment of Volunteers in the Union Army during the Civil War. From the gui...
